With all their friends and family around them Penelope and Steven were married on Saturday October 15th 2016. Both the bride and the groom had tears in their eyes when they said their "I do's" at the beautiful Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park. There were a few bumps in the road on the wedding day, broken zippers, broken elevators, and rain early in the day. But once the ceremony began everyone forgot all about those things. I just know that Penelope and Steven have a long and happy marriage ahead of them and lots of people to share their happiness with.
On October 8th 2016 Brad and Juliana became husband and wife and I was lucky enough to be there to witness it. Despite the fact that many parts of Florida were still recovering from hurricane Mathew including areas where many of the guests were coming from the day went off without a hitch. I have been able to be a part of many wedding days and I don't think I have ever encountered such a relaxed couple. They seemed so in love and so ready to be married that I didn't see a lot of nervousness from either of them. The wedding took place in Orlando so as is fitting it was subtly disney themed.
On Saturday Shannon, Taylor, and their families and friends joined together at Pebble Creek Golf Club to celebrate! The weather all week was terrible, with a hurricane blowing in on Thursday and Friday but by the big day we had clear, blue skies. Shannon and Taylor are definitely a memorable couple. They're both charismatic, the kind of people that you just like right away. Getting ready for a wedding is chaotic, but Shannon seemed calm through it all. As they prepare to leave Florida and start their new life in Texas together I know that they'll handle it all with a good sense of humor. Doesn't this cake from Goldie's Goodies Bakery look almost too good to eat! Taylor and his mom. The wedding was the first time in two years that all of her children were in one place so it was definitely a special day for more than one reason! Pebble Creek has some really beautiful scenery, Even though hurricane Hermine made sure the grass was wet were still had plenty of gorgeous options for photos. It was a surprise to me and to the guests when Shannon and Taylor made their entrance wearing Captain America and Spiderman masks before beginning their first dance. There were few dry eyes in the room when Shannon and her father shared a father/daughter dance. Vendors:
Ceremony and Reception Venue: Pebble Creek Golf Club http://www.pebblecreekclub.com/ DJ: Joe Vega with Kool Kat entertainment http://www.djandphotoboothfl.com/ Cake: Sheree Ackerman with Goldie’s Goodies Bakery http://www.goldiesgoodiesbakery.com/ Aubrey and Jeremy were married this weekend in a friend's gorgeous backyard overlooking the Homosassa River. It looked like we would be rained out. It started pouring about an hour before the wedding was supposed to start and it didn't look like it was going to let up. The minutes ticked by and the bride and groom were trying to decide if they should bite the bullet and move the ceremony to the reception site or keep waiting. Just as they were making the sad decision that they had to move the rain suddenly stopped! It was clear for the rest of their perfect day. After a ceremony that not only included the bride and groom but also the bride's daughter Carli and the groom's children Aubrey, Brooklyn, and Garrett we headed over to The Seagrass Waterfront Restaurant and Resort for the reception. But the party wasn't over after that, the whole group hopped into a few boats to go to the springs and swim for the rest of the day. Congratulations Grangers!!
This weekend I joined Kellie and Ron at their wedding at Citrus Hills Country Club in the beautiful Hampton room. Kellie and Ron were both so happy to join their two families together and there were lots of happy tears from everyone. After a sweet ceremony that included Kellie, Ron, and each of their children the party began! The dance floor was never empty.
This Weekend Annie and David got Married!! I met this sweet couple a few months back when they were still in the trenches of planning a beach wedding. And while the weather didn't cooperate with the beach venue they had a gorgeous rain plan venue at Pelican Pointe Golf and Country Club. Annie and David have been together for five years and have an adorable baby boy together. They are so very in love and I think they're going to have many many happy years together.
Katie and Stephen Reese were married this weekend at the Seminole Garden Center in Tampa FL. They had one of the most eclectic and personal weddings I have ever attended, from their pokeball ring box, to the book centerpieces, to their unity chemical reaction they put real thought into making every piece of the wedding reflect who they are as a couple. They planned every detail of their wedding themselves even though they were in Ohio throughout the planning process. They were married by a close friend and wrote their own vows. I'm very grateful to have had a chance to meet them and be a part of their day.
Mathew and Whitney had a movie themed wedding at The Lakeland Center this weekend and I was there. You could tell that this couple was so in love and their family and friends were so happy for them and ready to celebrate their love.
