It seems that Florida decided to have only one day of winter this year and it was on December 30th which just so happened to be Sheryl and Paul's wedding day. But even with a little chill in the air it was a beautiful day. In case the photo above didn't tip you off, the groom is Scottish and they chose to incorporate many Scottish wedding tradions into their big day. Of course there were the kilts, many of the American men had a fun experience wearing those for the first time. The bride also wore a sash made from her husband's tartan to symbolize that she was becoming a part of his family. During the Ceremony was the quaich, a ceremony in which the bride and groom share their first drink as a married couple. But for myself, and I think for their guests also, the best tradition they carried over was the dancing. It was so funny watching everyone try their hand at traditional Scottish dancing; which if you've never done it, is very fast and very fun. Strip the Willow was the biggest hit of the night, so fun for everyone that they did it twice. But beyond all of that, the thing I really took away from this wedding is that Sheryl and Paul truly love eachother and I wish them all the luck in the world.
