Who doesn't love a photo of a gorgeous glowing mom-to-be? A few months back I helped Liza and Kris announce their pregnancy and yesterday I met with them again to capture them as Liza's pregnancy comes towards the end. The final weeks of pregnancy are a difficult time for mothers, your feet are swollen, you constantly have to pee, and you are just generally uncomfortable but at the same time it is a truly amazing time. You connected to your baby in a way you never will be again, it is a time to be still and to appreciate the new life that is about to begin. It is my job to document this crazy time and to show pregnant mothers as the works of art they truly are. I can't wait to meet this little girl and I know her parents can't either.
I met this lovely couple Friday evening at the beautiful Lettuce Lake Park in Tampa near USF to commemorate their engagement. I know a lot of couples are unsure whether to have engagement photos done but there are a few reasons why I think you should go for it. If you plan to mail save the dates, they are a lot more fun if they come with a great new photo of you and your fiancé. They're also a great opportunity to interact with your photographer and get to know them before your wedding day. This is especially important if you are a bit shy in front of the camera which this couple was not at all. And besides, being engaged is a special time in your life and you'll be happy to look back on your engagement photos when you're old and gray together. Deanna and Jeremy were a really laid back, sweet couple. They were so fun to work with and I can't wait to shoot their wedding in November!
Happy Birthday Nora! It's hard to believe that this little girl is already one! I first met Nora when she was just a tiny little newborn and then I photographed her again when she was six months old. Its always great to get to see my newborns grow and change, It amazes me every time. This time we decided to meet at AI Lopez Park in Tampa. Its such a cute little park and a nice place to shoot. It also helped that Nora was in a pretty great mood. She was a little hesitant at first but she just wanted to scope the situation out and make sure everything was ok. Once she felt comfortable she was ready to go. I've really enjoyed watching this little cutie grow over the past year into such an inquisitive and sweet little girl and I hope to keep watching. If your little one has a big Milestone coming up let Karah Couch Photography be a part of it and capture these special moments forever. Head over to my Contact Page and send me an email. Your baby is only little for a little while so hurry
Congratulations Morgans! Latoya and Edward were married on Friday at the Courthouse in Downtown tampa with their family around them. Afterwards the whole group walked down to Curtis Hixon Park for photos. Everyone was so happy for them and they couldn't have seemed happier themselves. I hope the two of them have many many happy years and smiles ahead of them.
It was so much fun to meet and photograph the Silvares family. They were such a great group. We met at The University of Tampa which has such a beautiful campus that its quickly becoming one of my favorite locations to shoot. And can I just say that all three dogs were ridiculously well behaved especially for being surrounded by other people, squirrels, and cats. I'm so glad I was lucky enough to meet this relaxed and happy group while everyone was in one place.
A little over six months ago I met little Nora as a tiny adorable newborn baby. I couldn't believe it when her mommy emailed me to say she is six months old now! She's still just as adorable but much bigger. She's sitting up, crawling, and has the chunkiest little legs. Today was actually our second attempt at taking her photos, last weekend we were rained out in a torrential downpour. Things were much dryer and more pleasant today. I always feel so lucky when I get to see my newborn clients again!
Ella and Terrence's Engagement and Maternity Photos at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa - Sneak Peek9/12/2016 It seemed like everything was going wrong for this shoot. It was swelteringly hot, Ella and Terrence were stuck behind an accident, and then it started to rain! But then, just like that everything was back on track! The rain cleared (and took some of the people in the park with it) The clients got there, and well, it stayed hot but still! Ella and Terrence were awesome to work with. They were up for anything and really seemed to enjoy themselves, basically the holy grail for photographers. Plus, could Ella seriously be glowing any more than she is! She's going to make an absolutely gorgeous bride, Terrence is a lucky man.
I met Phillip and Megan a little while back at Phillip's sister's maternity photography session. Here's a photo of Phillip helping his sister look majestic, it makes me laugh every time. So it was really nice to see them again and meet their dogs. I love shooting at Howard Park because you have such a big variety of looks in one location. Within just a little bit of walking and driving you have pine forests, beach, gardens, trails. and parks. I can't believe my baby sister is graduating from high school this year!! Rachel is 12 years younger than me so this of course makes me feel very old. As the years have gone by she's has become so smart and funny and kind. I know she's going to do great things. Also, could you quit growing already, geez!!!
A few months back I met Whitney and Mathew and photographed their wedding day. Now they've asked me back to take Whitney's maternity photos! We met saturday at The University of Tampa campus and she looked absolutely beautiful even though she had to trek around the campus on a very hot and humid day while very pregnant. I love it when I am able to see past clients again as their lives change!
