Last Friday I had the fun of photographing a newborn baby boy who seemed to think he was already three months old. Little Jackson did everything he could to stay awake during our session so that he could look around and make a variety of faces that made me alternate between laughing and aw'ing while I edited them. This little guy was so strong he busted out of every wrap, lifted his head up every time I touched his chin, and tried to push himself right out of baskets. Luckily it was all hands on deck with mom, dad, and grandma assisting. We were also lucky that he was just a really cute baby so a lot of his shenanigans made for cute photos. Then he ended the session by falling asleep on a football. you know, babies will surprise you.
Oh my goodness, this little girl was such a pleasure to photograph. She stayed awake for awhile at first but she wasn't upset about it, she was just looking around, trying to see what she could see. Then after awhile she was finally asleep and she slept hard after that because she was so worn out. It seems like her easy going ways were not just for me since her mom and dad told me she is always a really good baby. It's sessions like this one that really remind me how much I love my job and how much I love getting to record these precious moments for parents. I know from experience how fast this time goes by, it's so nice to have a way to look back at it.
Welcome to the world Madden. It was so nice to see this family again. I photographed his big brother when he was born and I couldn't believe what a big and curious boy he is now. Madden was not so sure about getting his photo taken. He was pretty angry at me for awhile but he did eventually calm down and relax. He is such a cutie though so I forgive him for being a bit grumpy.
These little girls gave me a run for my money but don't twins always do that. Those of you who knew me when my twins were little probably remember me going around like a half asleep zombie. However, it does eventually get better and easier and that was definitely my experience photographing little Alice and Rose. At first Alice was sleeping like a dream but Rose was very angry with the whole idea. Then they switched. But eventually everything fell into place and these little girls finally decided to show me how cute their little faces look when they're not pouting. Every time I shoot twins it brings me back to when mine were little, there's nothing like two little babies snuggled up together.
I met this little cutie this past weekend along with her mommy, daddy, and grandma and I haven't stopped looking at her photos since. Isn't she just adorable. Even though Everly did not much enjoy getting her photo taken you can't really tell. For most of the shoot Everly looked at me and at her mom but refused to go to sleep. Since she was pretty happy, I was happy to keep shooting. Then she fell asleep for a short while (during which I took many adorable photos). Then, She woke up MAD! After that she was really only happy if mom or dad was holding her which was great because it was time to take family photos anyway. Of course, as I walked out the door she was dozing again, isn't that just how babies are. Anyway, this little girl is super cute so enjoy a sneak peek of little Everly, If you or someone you know is pregnant or recently had a baby and you're interested in booking a newborn shoot with me head on over to my Contact Me page and shoot me an email. I would love to meet you and your baby.
Emmy is One! Time flies, it feels like I just did her six month shoot! Of course, little Emmy decided to skip nap time on the day of our shoot so she wasn't in her best mood but we made do and still managed to get plenty of cute photos. Plus, you can't be mad at this little face even if she is crying while she eats her cake. Emmy, I'm looking forward to your birthday party, I can't believe how big you are now.
This past weekend I photographed this little cutie named Theo. Theo is probably one of the chillest babies I have ever met. Even when he was awake for part of the shoot he pretty much just looked around, not wanting to miss anything while i posed him. He didn't even really cry the entire three hours I was with him, just the occasional whine. I really enjoyed meeting theo and his family! One of those rare relaxed and easy shoots.
I can't believe Emmy is already over six months old! It feels like I just did her newborn shoot . Emmy is growing in to such a cute and sweet little girl and she was such a trooper during her shoot she didn't mind anything except being in the water, and she distracted herself from being in the water by chewing on slices of grapefruit. She was a little bit stingy with her smiles at the beginning of the shoot but we fixed that by making her dad come over and talk to her. Her mom says she's a total daddy's girl and I have to agree. Here's to another great six months Emmy!
Little Zoey just helped me continue my streak of really calm sleepy babies. I don't know how I've been so lucky lately but so many of my newborns have been snoozing through their sessions. However, her big brother and big sister were definitely not sleepy. Those two (two and a half year old twins btw) were VERY excited to be in photos with their baby sister. Zoey probably got 100 kisses from them while they were shooting. This little peanut is so incredibly sweet and I'm so glad I got to meet her.
